In Home Care and Seniors Services in Gloucester, MA

Comfort Keepers provides expert, compassionate in home care services for seniors and other adults

Comfort Keepers has been serving Gloucester and surrounding areas on Cape Ann since 2002. Owners, Warren and Kathy Goodwin, combined their skills in the business administration and health care fields and their call to ministry service and started a Comfort Keepers in home care office in Beverly, MA.

Gloucester is a great location and we are proud to serve the residents and summer visitors alike. Gloucester has a rich fishing history featured throughout the area in monuments and festivals celebrating the fisherman heritage that gave this area life.

Our Services

At Comfort Keepers, we practice the philosophy of ‘Interactive Caregiving’ to help seniors and adults remain active and independent. We also help families caring for a loved one by taking over care, allowing you a break to rest and recharge.  Care can be as minimal as a few hours a week to around the clock, 24 hour care. Our Care managers will work with your family to ensure open lines of communication. We also provide transportation to appointments, grocery store trips or just for a day out of the house.  Clients are able to visit beaches, go shopping or visit local art galleries, including the American Marine Model Gallery and the Aquatro Gallery.

Gloucester has a strong Portuguese and Italian influence as evidenced in the many festivals celebrated throughout the year. During the Catholic celebration, St. Peter's Fiesta, relatives of fishermen past and present carry oars representing many of the fishing vessels which call Gloucester their home. Saint Peter is the patron saint of the fishermen.

We believe that keeping seniors active in mind and body helps them live better lives.  That’s why we work with local nursing homes and assisted living facilities to provide extra, personalized care for your loved ones.

Community Involvement

At Comfort Keepers giving back to the community is paramount.   We are active in our ministry in service at Church of the Nazarene on the North Shore and are on the board of the local Alzheimer’s Association.  Kathy is the director of the Walk for Alzheimer’s. Additionally, we are active in other organizations around in the area.

We are members of the Aging and Disabilities Consortium and participate in two Med Waiver programs and the Elder Services Plan of the North Shore.  Warren is a member of the Rotary Club of Beverly, which has connections to Gloucester.

We provide services that range from just a little help or full-time care.   If you or a loved one needs help, please call us at (978) 232-9988.
